We have been learning about fractions. We have been learning that if you have a whole and you cut it in half you have two equal parts and if you cut a whole into quarters you end up with four equal parts. On the last day of term we used toast to show this.
Look at us cutting our toast into halves and quarters. We can now show our parents that we can do this at home.
I like the way you are learning about fractions.
ReplyDeleteThanks Room 4 for sharing your learning about fractions through eating toast. This would have been fun. Just think, you'll be able to share your learning about fractions with your families every time you have breakfast or dinner. It may be much harder to share information about fractions while eating if you have food like muesli or cornflakes - can you think about why this would be? Love from Mrs Bell
ReplyDeleteWell done Room 4 you looked like you enjoyed your lesson on Fractions.

Yum! What an exciting way to learn about fractions, room 4. How many quarters did you eat? I wonder if you could learn about fractions with raisins. I look forward to reading more about your learning on the class blog.

This is very smart room 4. I never know that I can make a fraction with toast. I think Feao will cut her own toast at home and show us the halves and quarters. Well done!!!
