Samoan art
Last week we were looking at Samoan art. We were very lucky to have Tony come in to show us lots of different types of Samoan art. We learned that the patterns are copied from nature like leaves, flowers, the sun and even bugs! Come in and have a look at the beautiful artwork we created! Thanks for helping us Tony.

The Christmas Tree
Today Mrs Martin needed some helpers. We were pretty lucky to go and help her. Guess what we were doing? Here is a clue, it's got something to do with a tree and decorations....
You guessed it, we got to help Mrs Martin decorate the school Christmas tree. It was so much fun! It is in the office if you want to come and have a look.

St Johns Visit
Today we had our first aid for kids lesson. We were learning what to do if there is an emergency. We got to look at a little ambulance and they told us all about what happens if we ever need to go in one - it isn't as scary as we thought because the people are so nice.
Fe'ao and Toa got to dress up at ambulance officers and bandage Miss Long's leg and arm, we had to pretend that she had an accident. We had to be very gentle. Then we had turns bandaging each other.
We also learned that if there is an emergency we call 111 and ask for fire, ambulance or police.
We got certificates and magnets to put on the fridge at home.
Celebrating Tongan Language Week
Last week we celebrated Tongan Language Week. On Friday at assembly we got to see some beautiful Tongan dances. It was awesome to see so many people getting involved.
